What are your goals for volunteering with Courage to Caregivers?

Peer Support Volunteer

Our One-to-One Caregiver Peer Support program connects caregivers in need with volunteers who have experience caring for someone with a mental illness. The purpose of the program is to provide participants with support and resources so they are better able to take care of someone else. Volunteers are trained through a series of online webinars and monthly ongoing training opportunities.

Committees of the Board

Community Outreach Committee: Identifies, develops, and nurtures mutually beneficial relationships with community individuals and organizations that share our common interest. Development Committee: Oversees fund raising special events and annual fund raising plan. Program Committee: Reviews, nurtures and cultivates current programs and services; evaluate and measure program impact and outcomes; brainstorm future program ideas/concepts as well as oversee pilot programs to support diverse demographics with a focus on publishing results to spread the value of our work for referrals and soliciting funding. Strategic Planning Committee: Monitors Courage to Caregivers Business Plan; develops a scenario plan for pandemic planning in the short-term and transition; establishes criteria for evaluating opportunities for community partnerships and alliances; and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors for strategic vision and planning.
